## Who it is for

Made for businesses with more than one address — retail and hospitality, professional services, and growing local businesses, typically 2–20 locations. You can also use the brief builder for one location or to outline a larger estate.

## How to think about a connection

A provider quote answers “What can you sell me?” A useful connection plan starts with “What does this business actually need?”

- Start with what each site needs: payments, video calls, guest Wi-Fi, and file uploads place different demands on a connection
- Compare more than a speed: installation, upload capacity, support, contract length, and backup options belong with the monthly bill
- Make the next move deliberate: record contract timing, check the notice period, and plan any change around when a new service can actually be installed

Provider availability and terms must be verified for each address.

## Connection types (planning notes only)

These are things to ask about, not services ConnectSurf sells or availability ConnectSurf can confirm.

- **Fiber:** Often worth evaluating for cloud-heavy offices, larger file uploads, and growing teams. Ask about upload speed, installation lead time, and whether the quoted service is shared or dedicated.
- **Cable:** Can be suitable for everyday business use where available. Ask about upload limits, support, promotional pricing, and the full monthly cost after promotions end.
- **Wireless:** Fixed wireless or cellular may fit a location’s primary or backup needs. Ask about on-site signal testing, data limits, failover setup, and how independent it is from the primary connection.

Two connections are not automatically a backup plan. Check whether they share infrastructure, how failover works, what needs backup power, and which business tasks must keep running.

### What is the advisor service?

The planned service would help businesses evaluate internet and backup options across locations, organize quotes and renewal dates, and coordinate changes with connectivity partners. This service is still in development. Provider partnerships, pricing, and operational workflows are not yet in place.

### Do you sell internet or run a network?

No. ConnectSurf is being developed as a connectivity planning and advisory service. Internet service would be delivered by the provider you select, under that provider’s agreement. ConnectSurf has no carrier partnership agreements in place today.

### Why focus on businesses with 2–20 locations?

Each address can have different providers, needs, and renewal dates. That is the coordination problem ConnectSurf is designed to address. You can also use the brief builder to plan one location or outline a larger estate.

### What happens to the information I enter?

Your answers are processed in your browser tab. The builder does not send them to a server or store them in your account. There is no sign-up or contact information requirement. Download or copy the completed brief if you want to keep it; closing or refreshing the page clears your answers.

### Can you guarantee savings or uptime?

No. Costs, availability, and performance depend on the location, provider, contract, and equipment. The brief helps you ask better questions and compare the full terms. It is not a price quote, availability result, or service guarantee.
